Angie Blosmo
5th Grade
Hello All! My name is Angie Blosmo. Previously, I had taught for 23 years. Most of my years were in the preschool program. I have also taught kindergarten, title one, and third grade. In 2017 I choose a different career path, but in the long run, I missed teaching and am so excited to be back in the education field. I graduated from South Dakota State University with my undergraduate degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. I received my master’s degree in 2010 in Educational Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University
I grew up in Harrisburg, South Dakota. Mr. Blosmo and I just celebrated our 27th anniversary and we have three wonderful children. Conner, 24, McKenzie, 22, and Drew, 19. In our spare time we love being outside, the water, golf and time with family and friends.
We have enjoyed our short time in Hendricks and look forward to the future in our new community.
Jason Blosmo
Assistant Principal
Hi, my name is Jason Blosmo. I come to Hendricks Public School with over 27 years in education. I graduated from South Dakota State University with my undergraduate degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. I have two master’s degrees. One from the Southwest Minnesota State University in Educational Leadership and the other from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in PK1-12 Administration.
I grew up west of the river in South Dakota in a small town called Bison, SD. I have been married to my lovely wife, Angie, for 27 years. We have three wonderful children. Conner, 24, McKenzie, 22, and Drew, 19.
I have a love for sports and coached for several years. My father was an industrial arts teacher, so I have a construction background and enjoy it. I also enjoy time with my family, the outdoors, golf, music (especially the 80’s), and movies.
My wife and I recently made the move to Hendricks. We have enjoyed our short time in Hendricks and look forward to the future in our new community
Shawnn Martin
7th-12th Math
Hello, I am Shawnn Martin.
I will be teaching Mathematics for our 7th thru 12th grade students. I am a lifelong learner with a diverse teaching background and experiences. I graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls Texas with a degree in Mathematics. I have completed a master’s degree in Management from Wayland Baptist University in Texas and am currently working to complete a Doctorate in Education through Bethel University in Minnesota. I spent over 20 years in the United States Air Force where I was an instructor on numerous assignments. I taught aircraft maintenance fundamentals along with F-16 avionics for over 4 years, I was a detachment commander and department head at Kansas State University where I was a professor of aerospace studies teaching future military officers for 3 years, and I also served as an instructor at Officer Training School for the Air Force. My most recent K-12 experience was teaching 6th grade math. My favorite quote is: “Experience is life’s hardest teacher; it gives the test first then the lesson” – author unknown.

We have lived in Minnesota since 2017. My wife Erica, our daughter Evelyn and son Ryan enjoy fishing, hunting, kayaking, hiking, camping, reading, and playing video games. We really enjoy living in a rural area. One of my hobbies is running. I completed the 200-mile team Ragnar Race in Minnesota in 2019 and have signed up for my first marathon in Bemidji this fall (provided COVID doesn’t cause it to be cancelled). In our local community, I stay busy as the membership director for American Legion Post #69, a board member of the Yellow Medicine East Pheasants Forever Chapter, and serve on our Church Council.

I look forward to working with everyone in what may be another challenging academic year with the impacts of the Coronavirus. This coming academic year’s theme may be “patience and flexibility.”
